The 2018 Island Hopper Songwriter Festival is right around the corner. Although they haven’t announced the full lineup yet, they have announced Midland!
The 2018 songwriter festival happens Sept. 21 through Sept. 30 at the beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel. There are a few days at each island and beach for a truly unique time. Sept. 21 – Sept. 23 happens on Captiva Island, Sept. 24 through Sept. 27 happens at Downtown Fort Myers and on Fort Myers Beach from Sept. 28 through Sept. 30.
Their full lineup is coming up but Midland are this year’s featured artist. They’ll be there during the Fort Myers Beach portion. You can also expect to see Heidi Newfield, Lance Carpenter, Sarah Peacock, Trailer Choir and Wynn Varble.
Last week, we got a chance to check out the preview of the festival at BMI. The preview party included Phil O’Donnell and Varble as well as tasty island food and island drinks. Our swag bag home included the tasty rum used in the drinks. It was Wicked Dolphin‘s coconut rum (but we took home the vanilla).
