Holston House Nashville has welcomed chef Christa Tayeb as its new executive chef, putting her at the helm of the hotel’s culinary program as the property prepares to roll out a new fall food and beverage lineup.

Tayeb will oversee the kitchens and culinary operations at the hotel’s dining destinations, including TENN, Bar TENN, and its rooftop lounge, Heirloom. She is currently working on the property’s upcoming fall menus, which are expected to debut soon.

With more than 15 years of experience in the culinary and hospitality industry, Tayeb has worked in kitchens throughout Florida, Illinois, New York, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Her Nashville experience includes culinary leadership positions at Gaylord Opryland Resort, The Joseph Hotel, and QED Hospitality.

Originally from the Philippines, Tayeb studied culinary arts and hotel management at the International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management. Her approach to food and hospitality was influenced by her grandmother, particularly the idea that sharing a meal can bring people together.

Tayeb’s appointment also connects to the historic Nashville hotel’s legacy of women leading its kitchens. Before it became Holston House, the property operated as the James Robertson Hotel in the 1930s, where Hattie Ray served as executive chef. Ray was known for preparing food for the hotel’s parties and high teas.

In her new role, Tayeb will also focus on developing her culinary team and mentoring emerging hospitality professionals. Outside of her work in the kitchen, she volunteers in the Nashville community and remains passionate about creating opportunities for the next generation of chefs.

With Tayeb now leading the culinary program, Holston House’s new fall food and beverage offerings are on the way!
