Ed Sheeran‘s making some serious money moves! The pop singer’s 2018 tour grossed more than any other single-year tour in 30 years.
Pollstar just released their 2018 report and Rolling Stone summarized this year’s list. Sitting pretty at No. 1 is the “Perfect” singer-songwriter. His 2018 tour tops the list after grossing $432 million! That’s the most any tour has earned in a single-year in three decades.
Through 94 shows, Sheeran sold an impressive 4,860,482 tickets in 53 different cities. It’s important to note that throughout those dates, Sheeran performed mostly alone. He did, however, have Elton John join him for certain shows as a guest.
Behind Sheeran is his gal pal, Taylor Swift. Swift embarked on her Reputation Tour this year and she earned $345.1 million and sold 2,888,892 tickets. Third on the list is power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce, who earned $254.1 million together. Next is Pink followed by Bruno Mars, The Eagles, Justin Timberlake, Roger Waters, U2 and The Rolling Stones. See the list of top earners with details on Variety.Â
The 2018 Top 10 North American tour list looks a little different than the overall. On this list, Swift is sitting at No. 1. Kenny Chesney, Journey / Def Leppard, Springsteen on Broadway and Drake all made that list. See the full list also on Variety.

Nashville Noise was lucky enough to see Sheeran as a special guest on Mars’ tour right here in Nashville. It was Mars’ birthday and Sheeran came out to sing “Thinking Out Loud.” Watch that clip below.
