Bow Wow didn’t have a great week on social media. He got called out on Snapchat for stretching the truth about his extravagant lifestyle.
It all started when Shad Moss, better known as Bow Wow, posted a photo on Instagram. The photo showed a private plane waiting on a tarmac. He captioned the photo, “Travel Day. NYC press run for Growing Up Hip Hop. Lets gooo.” No big deal, right?
Wrong. Shortly after, a Snapchat showed up that suggested Bow Wow had been less than honest about his ride.

The tweet caused a commotion on social media, starting the #BowWowChallenge. The challenge involves two side-by-side photos. The first photo shows the extravagant life reserved for social media and the other is the not-so-glam reality. The result has been hilarious.

Bow Wow responded to the viral challenge on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning on Thursday. “Off top, I love it, because people don’t understand the scientific method to my madness,” he told the station. “Number one, I’m about to have the biggest show on WE TV period. Period. I’m saying that right now. Period… you gotta just watch the show.”
Was this all a publicity stunt? Will the incident make the show? Only time will tell but weigh in on your thoughts below.
