The 4th of July is just a couple of days away and there’s a lot to do in Nashville. Here are a few ways you can celebrate Independence Day in Music City.
Let Freedom Sing!
Nashville’s downtown fireworks display and festivities is one of the largest, according to the Nashville Convention and Visitor’s Corp. Before the fireworks pop off, there’s a ton of free music to enjoy at the Broadway Stage (Fifth and Broadway). Lady Antebellum will headline the event but Chris Janson, Lucie Silvas, Andrew Combs and more will perform.

Ascend Amphitheater:
Ascend Amphitheater‘s free event opens at 4 PM but the Nashville Symphony concert and fireworks display don’t start until 9:30 PM. Nashville Noise’s friend Kelly Sutton will emcee the event beginning at 9:20 PM. Barry Scott will do the patriotic recitation at 9:22 PM.
July 4th at Acme:
Acme is starting their 4th of July party early! The live music on the first floor starts at 12 PM with The Music City Toppers. AJ & The Jiggawatts and Sam McCrary & The Mix are also on the bill. Join the celebration for $10 a person with access to floors one and two. There are also VIP options if you want to access the rooftop. There are also party favors with the VIP package options. Free as a Bird:
Rooftop lounge, Rare Bird, is throwing a 4th of July party of their own. For $200, ticketholders get complimentary food and drinks, music from DJ Foldy and great fireworks views! Space is limited but, as of now, tickets are still available through Eventbrite.
The George Jones 4th of July:
The George Jones museum is hosting a 4th of July event. Unfortunately, their VIP rooftop tickets are sold out but there are still other options. Rooftop general admission and main floor tickets are still available here. Their party starts at 5 PM and attendees can get adult slushies, barbecue and live music.
Rooftop Bash:
21c Museum Hotel is throwing a rooftop bash for Independence Day. There, you can enjoy an exclusive fireworks viewing party — without the crowds. Gray & Dudley will cater the food and drinks. The ticket includes a full open bar, adult popsicles and food. Get your tickets here because space is limited.
4th of July Party at Nashville Underground:
Join Nashville Underground for the 4th of July. They’re hosting a rooftop party that starts at 5 PM with buffets available until 9 PM. There will also be desserts and bar snacks once the buffets close. A DJ will spin following the fireworks. Tickets to this event are available at Eventbrite.
Famous Saloon’s Rooftop Party:
Famous Saloon, located on 2nd Avenue, will have live music and first-come-first-served inside fireworks viewing. Rooftop VIP tickets are $100 a person and the party is from 5 PM to 1 AM. Attendees will also get a Famous gift bag. Tickets are here.
Rooftop Party at Bobby Hotel:
Tickets to the party at Bobby Hotel are $150 and include a lot of “extras.” The ticket includes three wine or beer drinks per person, carnival-style food, a live DJ and, of course, rooftop views of the fireworks. See more here.
A Pinewood Independence Party:
Pinewood Social is hosting their party from 6 PM to 10:30 PM on Wednesday. Tickets are $100 and include endless cookout food, two adult beverages, exclusive patio access and a view of the downtown fireworks display.
L.A. Jackson’s Party:
L.A. Jackson’s 4th of July event is free! They promise good vibes, festive specials and patriotic cocktails. Find out more here.
Rock Bottom Brewery’s Rooftop Party:
Rock Bottom Brewery is hosting an Independence Day event and they’re even open for lunch. The rooftop will open at 5 PM with a $20 cover. The DJ starts at 9 PM.
4th of July at Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery:
Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery is hosting a daytime party before the downtown festivities. They’ll do free tours and tastings all day, grilled refreshments, games for the whole family and live music. Details are here.
Hot Chicken Festival:
Celebrate your independence with hot chicken on Wednesday! The 11-year old hot chicken festival happens in East Park and it’s free! Find out more about this festival here.
