The Raconteurs are back! The rock band has marked their return with their first new music in more than a decade.
The Raconteurs, AKAÂ Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence
Along with the new music comes companion videos for both. In true Raconteurs form, they were just shot a week ago and are already available. “Sunday Driver” was directed by Steven Sebring, the acclaimed photographer, filmmaker, inventor and vanguard in 3D imaging. The “Now That You’re Gone” video was directed by Dikayl Rimmasch and features burlesque performer Gia Genevieve.
“The [“Now That You’re Gone”] video is a very rock and roll approach to the wide range of emotions a person goes through when dealing with a broken heart,” Genevieve says. “Feelings of being weak, angry, vengeful and ultimately the strength to overcome and ‘crash’ through it all. I had such a lovely time collaborating with such wonderful artists and people.”
Both tracks stem from recent sessions for the highly-anticipated new LP from The Raconteurs. It’s due for release sometime in 2019.
Both songs are available for digital download today. This release coincides with the delivery of the only physical version of the tracks available on 7″ vinyl as part of Third Man’s Vault Package #38. The package celebrates the 10th Anniversary of The Raconteurs’ second album, Consolers of the Lonely.Â
