There’s a new pizza place in town. PizzaRev Nashville is bringing Roman-style pizza and a 30-tap electronic beer wall to West End.
PizzaRev officially opens on West End this Saturday and it’s not your typical pizza joint. It’s a build-your-own pizza concept that specializes in personal 11-inch Roman-style pizzas. The pizza itself was the reason Robby Stewart, one of the franchise owners, wanted to be a part of this company.
“At the end of the day, if the pizza’s not great no one’s coming. The food is what sold me,” he explains.
PizzaRev specializes in Roman-style pizzas that are “almost wafer thin” but they also have double dough, if you want a little more crust. Patrons then choose their sauce, cheese and their toppings (they have everything from pepperoni and vegan sausage to cherry tomatoes and fennel seeds). The pizza process is also incredibly quick, so don’t hesitate to go on your lunch break. Their goal is to have you eating in six or seven minutes!
All that pizza will make you thirsty and what goes better with pizza than beer? This particular PizzaRev location will have 30 self-pour taps. They’ll have 27 different beers, one cider and two wines and, since they charge by ounce, you can try them all! Once you show your ID, they’ll give you a nifty electronic bracelet that you scan at the taps. It’s your virtual tab and it keeps track of how many ounces you’re drinking.
PizzaRev’s official grand opening is June 17 from 10:30AM to 10PM. Guests 21 and up will receive a free pizza with the purchase of a 16 ounce beer. They’re also hosting a “Pay What You Want” Fundraiser on June 21 from 5PM to 10PM. All proceeds from that night go towards the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
“You’ve got to give it a try,” Stewart persuades. “Come in and try the food and try the beer wall. Once you try it once, very few people are ever not pleased with it. If you’re a social person, you’ve got to try it.”
