Dolly Parton’s impact on Nashville, and far beyond, was the focus of a recent conversation between Nashville Noise founder Coti Howell and LiveNOW from FOX.

Following the news of Parton’s death, Howell joined LiveNOW from FOX to talk about the country music icon’s remarkable legacy, her deep connection to Nashville and the many ways she gave back to the communities and people around her.

While Dolly’s music career alone would be enough to cement her place in history, her influence has always extended well beyond the stage. From her philanthropy and literacy work through the Dollywood Foundation and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to the countless ways she has supported her home state and the people of East Tennessee, her legacy is about much more than her songs.

The conversation also touched on what Dolly’s loss means for Nashville and for the generations of fans who grew up with her music, movies, humor, and unmistakable presence.

For Nashville Noise, being able to bring a Music City perspective to a national audience was a meaningful opportunity. And one we’re especially grateful for when talking about someone who has had such an extraordinary impact on Nashville.
