Cinco de Mayo is this weekend and there are a ton of ways to celebrate the holiday in Nashville.May 5 is the annual celebration of Cinco de Mayo, when Mexico defeated the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla. This victory was back in 1862 and we’re still celebrating it today. Although a lot of Cinco de Mayo partiers don’t know the real reason behind the holiday, they still enjoy indulging in Mexican food and margs on May 5.

Cinco de Mayo on M Street
From Friday through Sunday, you can celebrate the Mexican holiday at Saint Anejo. On Saturday, there’s a special fiesta at Rosewall that starts at 4 PM. They’ll have live DJs, specialty tacos, tequila flights, buckets of cervezas and more surprises. Find out more here.
Pub Crawl 2018
On Saturday you can join a nationwide pub crawl for Cinco de Mayo. The party starts at Winners Bar and Grill and goes through various venues in Music City. Tickets are $12.50 and more information is available here.
Tacos & Tequila Fest
Tacos & Tequila Fest is a proper Cinco de Mayo party from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Saturday. It happens at the Pavilion East in East Nashville and boasts food, drinks, live music and more. Tickets start at $25 and are available through Eventbrite.
Cinco de Mayo at Swanky’s Taco Shop
Swanky’s Taco Shop is hosting their own party this Saturday. They’ll have live music, drink specials (including $4 house margaritas), swag and even a limbo contest. RSVP through the Facebook event page.
Street Party
Germantown Depot is hosting a street party this Saturday. It starts at 11 AM and will be so epic that they’re shutting down the street. They’ll have a dance party, live DJ, beers, margaritas and even free parking. No ticket is necessary for this event but you can RSVP on Facebook.
Fiesta de Demonbreun
Demonbreun is celebrating both Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby this year. This is a timed pub crawl and partygoers start at Tin Roof at 2 PM after check-in. Tickets are only $5 and are available here.
Parking Lot Fiesta
Rosepepper Cantina is hosting a parking lot party this weekend from 12 PM to 9 PM. They’ll have margaritas, food, music, games, prizes and more. Stay tuned to their Facebook page, they’re updating the event often.

If drinking and eating tacos aren’t your thing, why not dress in a sombrero and go for a run? The Cinco de Mayo fun starts at Tin Roof and even includes a free beer, if you’re so inclined. Sign up here.
The Sutler’s Cinco Party
This Saturday at 3 PM, The Sutler is hosting a free party! They’ll have drink specials on Good People beer, tequila shots and more. Get there early though because the beer is limited and all alcohol specials end at 10 PM. More details are available here.

McCabe Pub Crawfish Boil
McCabe Pub is hosting their sixth annual charity crawfish boil this Saturday. The boil happens from 3 PM to 8 PM. Tickets are $40 and include all you can eat crawfish, three drink tickets and live entertainment. More information on event, tickets and their charity are available here.
Bad Hombres
Acme’s rooftop is throwing a bad hombres party this Saturday. They’ll have a taco bar, music and (of course) festive drink specials. More information is on Acme’s website.
Cooking Class
Spend your Cinco de Mayo learning a new skill! Sur la Table is hosting a cooking class this Saturday for $69 a person. You’ll learn how to make fresh sweet corn tamales, pork, hominy and tomato stew and Mexican shortbread cookies. Register here.

It’s always summer at bartaco and they’re starting their endless summer 2018 on May 5. They’ll have live music, a summer bucket list contest and surprise giveaways! From 12 PM to 8 PM there will be a photo booth and from 12 PM to 5 PM they’ll have face painting! More information is available on Facebook.
