Dolly Parton will be recognized for her extraordinary songwriting career at the 19th ACM Honors this August, where she’ll receive the prestigious ACM Poet’s Award.
The honor celebrates Parton’s decades-long impact as one of country music’s most influential songwriters. From timeless classics like “Jolene,” “Coat of Many Colors,” and “I Will Always Love You” to countless other fan favorites, her storytelling has left an undeniable mark on country music and beyond. Parton, a 13-time ACM Award recipient and three-time ACM Awards host, will accept the honor through a special video message during the ceremony.
The 19th ACM Honors will take place Aug. 19 at The Pinnacle. The evening will also feature performances celebrating this year’s honorees from artists including Avery Anna, Carter Faith, Dierks Bentley, Dylan Scott, Gabriella Rose, Kaitlin Butts, Margo Price, Megan Moroney and Trisha Yearwood. There will also be a special appearance by Brenda Lee.
In addition to Parton, this year’s ACM Honors will celebrate Eric Church, Kacey Musgraves, Bill Anderson, Brett James, The Carter Family, C2C: Country to Country, Leslie Fram, Mike Curb, Scott Zolke, the Paramount+ series Landman, as well as previously announced Artist-Songwriter of the Year Ella Langley and Songwriter of the Year Jessie Jo Dillon.
