Ty Herndon and GLAAD Team Up to Bring Acceptance Concert Back to Nashville

Ty Herndon and GLAAD have partnered up for the third annual Concert for Love and Acceptance to Nashville. Terri Clark, Cassadee Pope, Michael Ray and more are on this year’s bill.

GLAAD, the world’s largest LGBTQ advocacy organization, recently made the big announcement about the concert. This year’s show happens on June 7 at the Wildhorse Saloon after the 2018 CMT Music Awards (it’s also in conjunction with CMT). It will feature artists and celebrities all coming together to accelerate acceptance for the LGBTQ community.

Herndon will host the event alongside CMT’s Cody Alan, but he’ll also perform. Clark, Pope and Ray are also on the bill along with Calum Scott, Brandon Stansell and more. There will be more appearances and performances announced in the coming months.

“I’m thrilled to partner with GLAAD once again for this show that has broken so much new ground and started so many important conversations over the past three years,” Herndon says. “Letting our LGBTQ friends, family and neighbors know they are accepted and loved just as they are isn’t just making the world a better place — it’s literally saving lives — and I’m so proud to be a part of it.”

The inaugural Concert for Love and Acceptance was held back in 2015 and the second was in 2017. Reba McEntire supported the event in the past and Chris Carmack, Crystal Gayle, Mickey Guyton, Levi Hummon, Trent Harmon and more have performed.

“Music has the power to uplift, empower and change hearts and minds across the country,” Sarah Kate Ellis, GLAAD President and CEO, says. “GLAAD is honored to present the third Concert for Love and Acceptance to help drive forward acceptance with an amazing lineup of talent and messages of support for the LGBTQ community.”

There are a variety of ticket options for the June 7 show, which begins at 7:45. For a VIP table of four (with premium seating) it costs $500. There’s a $100 ticket option for those interested in reserved seating and a $50 general admission ticket. Find out more about tickets here.
