Tracy Lawrence is bringing back his annual Mission: Possible Turkey Fry and Benefit Concert for a milestone celebration (its 20th year) on Nov. 25. The beloved event, which has become a Nashville holiday tradition, aims to feed more people than ever before, with a goal of providing over 32,000 meals to those in need across Middle Tennessee.
This year’s efforts will support the Nashville Rescue Mission, eight surrounding county school systems, and local community organizations that help provide meals and resources for those facing food insecurity. With help from Cargill, The Poultry Federation, and Operation BBQ, the event will serve 2,000 cooked turkeys (400 more than last year) and distribute 1,200 frozen turkeys.
“I cannot believe we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the turkey fry,” Lawrence exclaims. “This event started with a few of my buddies in a church parking lot and only cooking 200 birds. Now our footprint has grown, and we’re cooking 2,000 turkeys and feeding so many throughout Middle Tennessee. Big things!”
To mark the announcement, Lawrence is also launching a brand-new product, Tracy Lawrence’s All-Natural Seasoning, available in four flavors: creole, garlic and onion salt, seasoning salt, and cracked pepper garlic. Select profits will benefit Mission: Possible.
Fans can expect the new seasoning, along with Lawrence’s all-natural marinade (released last year), to be featured at the Turkey Fry. The daylong event kicks off in the morning at the Nashville Fairgrounds before moving to Luke Combs’ Category 10 for the benefit concert.
The concert lineup will be announced soon, but if history is any indication, it’s bound to be a can’t-miss show. Past performers have included Tim McGraw, Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, Cole Swindell, and more. Last year’s event raised $250,000 for the third year in a row, with performances from Lawrence, Russell Dickerson, Meghan Patrick, John Schneider, and Halfway to Hazard.
Since its start, Mission: Possible has fried over 10,000 turkeys, provided more than 86,000 meals to the homeless in Middle Tennessee, donated over $1 million to the Nashville Rescue Mission, and raised more than $2.5 million to support aligned causes.
General on-sale begins Aug. 15 at 10 AM.
