    Top 5 ‘Star Wars’ Movies

May the 4th be with you! Happy Star Wars Day to everyone. In honor of the day, we’re ranking the Top 5 ‘Star Wars’ Movies.

    Star Wars: The Force Awakens

It had been 10 years since the last Star Wars movie had come out and I can still vividly remember standing in line at midnight with excitement to watch The Force Awakens. Between the fresh addition to new characters mixed in with the nostalgia of old characters, Force Awakens is easily the best film of the franchise.

    The Empire Strikes Back

It’s always interesting to go back and watch some of the older Star Wars films. At the time, they were groundbreaking with technology that had never been used before. Their special effects may not stand the test of time but the characters do. The Empire Strikes Back brought us one of the greatest villains ever, Darth Vader.

Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace

Outside of Darth Vader, the Star Wars franchise lacked a villain and it’s something they still struggle with. Darth Maul changed the game in the second set of films, though. The final lightsaber scene between Darth Maul and the Jedi is easily the best from any Star Wars film.

    Star Wars

It would be impossible to create a Top 5 Star Wars movies list without including the OG. George Lucas’ idea was something different, unique and (at the time) groundbreaking. The movie premise is simple: save the princess from the big evil villain while exploring and enjoying the unusual world.

Star Wars: The Rise of the Skywalker

Adam Driver was the best thing to happen to this franchise but he was misused. He could have been on the same level as Darth Vader but they dropped the ball. With that being said, this film doesn’t deserve the hate that it gets. Rise of Skywalker is filled with nostalgia, action, beautiful cinematography and a banging score.
