Thomas Rhett, Luke Combs + More to Receive Triple Play Awards

The recipients for the 10th Annual CMA Triple Play are in!

The Triple Play Award is a prestigious honor presented to songwriters who pen three No. 1 songs within a 12-month period. This is based on Country Aircheck, Billboard Country Airplay and the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

This year, 10 songwriters will receive trophies: Luke Combs, Jesse Frasure, Nicolle Galyon, Ashley Gorley, Tyler Hubbard, Josh Kear, Shane McAnally, Chase McGill, Josh Osborne and Thomas Rhett.

There will be a private industry-only luncheon on Feb. 19 where recipients will be awarded their trophies. Troy Tomlinson, CMA Board member and Sony/ATV Music Publishing President and CEO, will host. Following that, Galyon will host a special CMA Songwriters Series performance that is open to fans and music lovers. The show will include Combs, Gorley, Kear, McGill and Osborne.

The CMA Songwriters Series happens Feb. 19 at Marathon Music Works at 7 PM. Tickets start at $30 and range up to $50. They’re oon sale now here. To celebrate the Triple Play Awards, $3 of each ticket sold will benefit the CMA Foundation, CMA’s philanthropic arm, which is committed to improving and sustaining high-quality music education programs across the country.
