Nashville’s food scene just hit another major milestone! The MICHELIN Guide American South Ceremony is officially headed to Nashville, with this year’s ceremony set for the evening of Oct. 21 at The Pinnacle.
For a city that’s been steadily building its reputation, this moment feels big.
Each year, the MICHELIN Guide brings together chefs from across the region to reveal which restaurants have earned a coveted MICHELIN Star or other distinctions. The ceremony itself is invite-only, but the recognition carries serious weight across the culinary world.
As part of its ongoing effort to highlight emerging food destinations and the diversity of cuisines across regions, the guide rotates its ceremony to a different host city each year. In 2026, all eyes are on Nashville.
“Last year marked a momentous year for the American South as we proudly introduced the very first U.S. regional selection of restaurants to travelers both near and far,” Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide, says in a release. “As our anonymous Inspectors prepare the restaurant selection for 2026, Nashville stood out as a fitting backdrop for the ceremony thanks to its vibrant entertainment culture, local food influences, and shining culinary talent.”
Nashville’s selection reflects a broader shift that locals have been watching unfold: a dining scene that continues to evolve, expand, and push beyond expectations.
