Along with New Music, Taylor Swift Reveals Darker Merchandise

On Friday, Taylor Swift released her new single, “Look What You Made Me Do.” Along with it, she dropped some dark new merchandise.

The wait is over for Swifties. The 27-year-old pop star has finally given fans a taste of what’s to come on her new album, Reputation. After completely wiping her social media accounts — and then teasing us all with snake videos — she’s back. And she’s different.

Swift’s new song, “Look What You Made Me Do,” isn’t the same old Swift. She’s tough. She’s darker and she’s not playing Ms. Nice Girl anymore. It’s pretty amazing and we’re definitely here for this transformation.

“I’m sorry, but the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now,” she says in the new track. “Why? Oh. ‘Cause she’s dead.”

Heavy, right? She wouldn’t be the marketing mastermind she is if that was all of the transformation. Swift also revamped her website and on it you’ll find new merchandise. You can also pre-order Reputation or snag $45 album cover Ts (in a feminine or classic cut). While we’re fans of the black and white cover showing the singer with a bold lip and slicked back hair, that’s not the best thing on her merchandise page.

Just below the album-themed shirts, you’ll find the darker side of Swift. There you’ll find bedazzled snake rings in gold and silver (with a collectible ring box) and a black hooded pullover with a snake. If you’re not into the slithering embellishments, she also has a profile T, a T with the title of the album’s single and merchandise with the word ‘REP.’

The new merch ranges in price from $15 to $75 but none of them are shipping yet. Each item has an approximate shipping date on the buy page and they all qualify for #TaylorSwiftTix. Details of that are in her official store.

So, what do you think of the new Taylor Swift? Do you like her new single? We’re currently conducting a Twitter poll — and we’d love to have your vote!

Pre-order Reputation on Swift’s website and download “Look What You Made Me Do” now.
