Taulia Lave is taking a gamble, and it’s paying off. The rising country artist, signed to Country Boy Records, just dropped a spirited music video for his take on the timeless classic, “The Gambler.” Originally penned by Don Schlitz and made famous by Kenny Rogers, Lave’s version breathes new life into the legendary song while honoring its rich storytelling roots.
Directed by Justin Mayeshiro for Capture Media, the video brings the song’s theme of risk and strategy to life in a fun, family setting. Lave’s loved ones gather for a lively card game as he delivers his unique interpretation of the classic tune. It’s a nostalgic nod to the original but with a fresh twist that showcases Lave’s diverse musical influences and signature sound.
