Tanya Tucker stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to perform “Hard Luck” with Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings.
“Our next guest won two Grammy Awards this past Sunday,” DeGeneres said as she introduced Tucker. “Here to perform ‘Hard Luck’ along with Shooter Jennings, please welcome the amazing Brandi Carlile and Tanya Tucker.”
Together in front of a band, they performed an upbeat, lively performance of the track from While I’m Livin’. Tucker was all smiles on the TV stage in black sparkles and leather pants. The full performance is above.
Backstage at the show, Tucker and Carlile connected with fellow guest, Justin Bieber. During his interview on the talk show, Bieber shared his story about faith and being saved. That touched the country icon so much that she gifted him a leather necklace and a cross made of horseshoe screws.
Tucker recently won her very first (and second) Grammy. “After almost 50 years in this business, after many dreams, it’s still unbelievable to me that I’d still have a few firsts left.” She took home the awards for Best Country Song (“Bring My Flowers Now”) and Best Country Album (While I’m Livin‘). This is Tucker’s first album in 17 years and it may be her best yet. See for yourself by downloading the album. It’s available below.
