Studio Tenn’s Legacy Series is continuing with a production of The Sinatra Legacy: A Musical Tribute to Ol Blue Eyes. It happens at the Franklin Theatre March 13 through March 17. This is the production’s first time back at the theater since the inaugural performance six years ago.
“We couldn’t be honoring Sinatra in a more fitting venue than the Franklin Theatre,” said Studio Tenn’s Managing Director, Todd Morgan. “The historical and cultural atmosphere of the theater provides the spot-on Sinatra style that audiences will rave over for weeks to come.”
The Sinatra Legacy is under the co-direction of Benji Kern, Studio Tenn’s Interim Artistic Director and Laura Matula of MA2LA. It includes t of both local and non-local artists includes Laura Matula, Maggie Richardson, Jaimee Paul, John Mark McGaha, William Hall and American Idol season 8 finalist Matt Giraud. Studio Tenn will also be welcoming Shelby Jones. She’s the very first high school student to ever perform in the Legacy Series. Her credits include Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family and work as a voice actor for Musical Theater International.
This original theatrical concert will bring audiences Sinatra’s hits including “My Way,” “New York, New York” and “Come Fly With Me.”
“The Sinatra Legacy is going to be a production fit for audiences of all ages,” Kern said. “The concert is full of original and reimagined big band Sinatra tunes that everyone recognizes and adores, performed by a cast of unmatched talent and all back in the birthplace of our original Legacy Series.”
