Looking for plans for this weekend? The Storytellers Music Festival is just a short drive from Nashville and includes a star-studded bill.
The Storytellers Music Festival is Oct. 5 and Oct. 6 at The Storytellers Hideaway Farm, the former home and creative retreat of Johnny Cash. The farm is a 100-acre farm and it’s just 40 miles west of Music City. The location itself says, “the spirit of music lives here,” and this festival seems like it’ll live up to that promise.
Crystal Gayle and B.J. Thomas have just been added to the lineup that was already pretty impressive. John Schneider, from “The Dukes of Hazzard” and currently from “Dancing with the Stars,” will perform. Larry Gatlin, Dallas Frazier, Phil Keaggy, T. Graham Brown, Stan Perkins, Ron Haney, Kevin Max, Kelly Leigh and Earl Poole Ball are also on the bill.
If Cash fans are looking for a little more at the legend’s former home, they’re in luck. His brother Tommy Cash, sister Joanne Cash, nephew Mark Alan Cash and more will be there to honor The Man in Black.
Storytellers Music Festival will see music at the newly renovated rustic barn adjacent to Cash’s stately circa 1860’s pre Civil War log home. They outdoor venue offers both covered and open-air seating. Concertgoers can bring lawn chairs and are encouraged to enjoy the beauty of the rolling hills of Bon Aqua that will surround them.
Food trucks, merchandise stalls, craft booths and ample free parking are also part of the weekend. Tickets are on sale and a complete schedule of artist performance times can be seen at their website and on Eventbrite. Single-day admission for Friday will be $35.00. Saturday single admission is $45.00. Two-day weekend combo tickets can be purchased for $65.00.
