Watch Nashville’s Song Suffragettes Pay Tribute to Aretha Franklin

Nashville’s all-female singer-songwriter collective, Song Suffragettes, paid tribute to Aretha Franklin on Monday night.

During their weekly singer-songwriter round at The Listening Room, the group of women came together for a familiar song. They wanted to pay tribute to Franklin, who passed away Aug. 16. Candi Carpenter, Jaclyn Kenyon, Tiera, Chloe Gilligan and Kalie Shorr sang Franklin’s popular, “(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman.”

Each of the women shines during the tribute, with Carpenter starting things off to crowd applause. The Listening Room crowd goes wild when the song is finished.

“Thank you guys so much,” Shorr says in conclusion. “God bless Aretha Franklin.”
