The legendary country group, Shenandoah, is back together and back with new music. The band is set to release their first album in 20 years, Reloaded.
Reloaded drops on March 16 on BMG and is full of old favorites and new tunes. The album includes some of the band’s most iconic songs recorded live on tour last year as well as three brand new tracks. The new songs were all produced by a familiar name, Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts.
Shenandoah frontman Marty Raybon spoke with Billboard about the album about why they chose to release live songs. “We had always wanted to capture our show live,” he explained. “I think it’s a way of getting a little more of an insight into the artist, what they are all about, and what their show consists of. I think it’s a great way to advertise what you do so that people will come out to see you.”
The 12-track album includes live fan favorites like “The Church on Cumberland Road,” “Sunday in the South,” and “Two Dozen Roses.” Shenandoah’s new single, “Noise,” is also on the album. Along with the new music, the band will hit the road for a tour that includes a Nashville stop. On Feb. 24, they’ll take the iconic Grand Ole Opry stage for a Music City show. Full tour dates are on the band’s official website.
