Shakey Graves Announces Fall 2018 Tour with Ryman Auditorium Stop

Shakey Graves will play Ryman Auditorium on Oct. 3.

Shakey Graves is going on tour this fall in support of his new album, Can’t Wake Up. He will play Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium as part of the tour.

The Tour Tour Tour Tour Tour Tour Tour Tour Tour includes international dates and kicks off on May 8 in Georgia. He plays Asheville, Philadelphia, Boston, Toronto, Chicago and Dallas before stopping in Music City. He plays our historic auditorium on Oct. 3 with supporting act, The Wild Reeds.

This fall tour is in support of his new album, which was released on May 4. The 13-track album was unique for Alejandro Rose-Garcia.

“I’ve never worked like this before, but I went into the record with the idea of having a thesis statement of what I wanted to get across,” Rose-Garcia explains. “And the place that I got at was that I wanted it to be vaguely Wizard of Oz-themed, and I wanted it to be hectic and a little uncomfortable, like what I refer to as the Big Five Disney cartoons: PinocchioFantasiaSnow WhiteDumbo and Bambi.”

“All those movies are terrifying — some of the most stressful movies I’ve ever seen. So I started with this Wizard of Oz thing — ‘Tin Man’ that has obvious allusions to that-and the idea of black-and-white to color.”

We can’t even imagine how Shakey Graves will bring this music to life on stage but we can’t wait to see it! Tickets to the show go on sale May 11 at 10 AM. To see all of his tour dates, head to the official Shakey Graves website. And check out his new album by clicking on the album art below.
