Shaboozey is leveling up in 2025. After a year stacked with award nods, critical acclaim, and genre-bending chart success, the trailblazing artist has announced the launch of his very own record label, American Dogwood, in partnership with EMPIRE.

The label will carry the same spirit that’s defined Shaboozey’s career so far, music that ignores boundaries and blends worlds. He’s joined by longtime collaborators Jared Cotter and Abas Pauti (both pictured alongside him in the featured image), who will help lead the label’s efforts to discover and mentor new voices. EMPIRE will provide the global reach and infrastructure, just as they’ve done throughout Shaboozey’s career.

American Dogwood is already making moves. The label’s first signing is Kevin Powers, an artist on the rise who cut his teeth in Nashville’s songwriting scene. After early buzz with viral singles like “Walked In” and “How You Been?”, Powers earned his first major cut with Shaboozey and Jelly Roll’s 2025 hit “Amen.” His style (dubbed “Southern Pop”) blends seamlessly with Shaboozey’s signature fusion of pop, country, and hip-hop.

Together, the two are introducing American Dogwood with a brand-new single, “Move On,” dropping Sept. 19.

“American Dogwood is a tribute to where we come from, and to the artists, storytellers, and creators who make this life remarkable. Our mission is to nurture the next generation of voices and to give them a place to grow, connect, and create. This is the beginning of a new chapter – one I hope always feels like home,” Shaboozey says.
