Dolly Parton has conquered music, movies, books, and even baking. So, why not wine? The country music icon recently released a Pinot Noir, so naturally, we had to try it! I enlisted the help of the Smoking Section Podcast‘s Markus Koger for this fun review.
I quickly chilled the Pinot Noir before removing the lid and pouring two glasses. We were instantly greeted with a rich cherry aroma that hinted at the smoothness to come. On the first sip, it was a fruit-forward balance of ripe cherry and subtle spice. It’s not too dry, not too sweet. Much like a perfectly written Dolly Parton song.
The medium-bodied Pinot Noir is approachable and smooth, making it a great choice for casual wine drinkers and seasoned sippers alike. It pairs effortlessly with everything from a cozy night in to a fancy dinner out. I can taste this alongside a chocolate dessert or a medium-rare steak.
If you love a wine that’s elegant but easy-drinking, this might be your new go-to. And let’s be honest, anything with Dolly’s name on it is worth raising a glass to.
