Randy Travis Visits Metro Nashville Animal Care & Control

Country Music Hall of Fame icon, Randy Travis, recently visited Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control.

He visited to support their mission to find homes for rescue animals. While there, he toured their facility and spent time with the pets and staff. Their director, Lauren Bluestone, and medical director, Dr. Staci Cannon, even named two dogs Randy and Travis.

Travis and his wife, Mary, are big advocates for animal adoption. They have two of their own.

Metro Animal Care and Control is “is committed to the delivery of humane and responsive animal care and control services to and for the residents and animals of Nashville-Davidson County.” They “work with individuals and organizations across Nashville to help domestic animals find caring homes, decrease over-population of cats and dogs through spaying and neutering, support widespread rabies vaccinations, and promote responsible pet ownership.”

Find out more information on how you can adopt from MNACC here. You can also visit the shelter seven days a week from 10 AM to 4 PM (until 6 PM on Thursdays). If you’re not ready to adopt but want to donate to the shelter, you can do that directly through their Amazon wishlist.
