If you ever watch Food Network, you know Trisha Yearwood is a talented chef. Try her pecan pie recipe when you want something sweet.
Yearwood cooks everything on Trisha’s Southern Kitchen. She’s got a great recipe for baked spaghetti and even one for a mug cake! She really can cook it all (trust us, we had her baked beans recently). This time, though, we’re sharing a recipe for pecan pie. If you’ve never tried your hand at a pie, this may be the best introduction to pie baking.
According to the Food Network website, this pie is actually pretty easy but it does take some time. It takes a little over an hour to finish but with just 10 minutes of preparation and 55 minutes of baking time. It makes about eight servings and has great reviews from fellow bakers.
To make this pie, you’ll need to get an unbaked 9-inch deep dish pie shell. You’ll also need light brown sugar, granulated sugar, chopped pecans, eggs, butter and milk. Also make sure to grab all-purpose flour, vanilla extract and pecan halves. The best part? The vanilla ice cream for topping!
