Patty Griffin Announces Spring Tour with Franklin Theatre Show

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Patty Griffin just announced an acoustic tour with a stop at the charming Franklin Theatre.

Griffin’s tour kicks off on May 1 in Oklahoma City and runs through May 19 in New Braunfels. Most of the shows are acoustic, aside from her last one. She’s bringing along her long-time guitarist David Pulkingham for the shows. The final show of the tour, in Texas, will be a full-band performance with Pulkingham on guitar, Craig Ross on bass and Conrad Choucroun on drums. Ahi will open the shows throughout the tour.

Fans can also expect new music from Griffin soon. She’s currently looking for inspiration for new music and is open to new sounds and new songs. According to a release, “Griffin is continuing to push her art forward, as always imbuing every effort with compassion and craft, uncanny perception and ever-increasing ingenuity.”

In her spare time, though, she’s helping the less fortunate and caring for the planet. Griffin participated in the 2016 Use Your Voice Tour with the League of Women Voters and the 2017 Lampedusa Tour in support of the Jesuit Refugee Service.
