Opry Entertainment has announced a new way to help up-and-coming artists. Opry NextStage is a year-long collaboration with four rising artists.
Tenille Townes, Tegan Marie, Riley Green and Travis Denning are the artists part of the first NextStage. They’ll each perform at the Opry in December and the partnership also includes live performances, help with marketing and short documentary-style storytelling. They’ll also perform at the kickoff party at Ole Red Nashville on Jan. 8.
“One of the many special things about Grand Ole Opry shows is that audiences not only get to experience their favorite country music legends and current superstars, but also discover the brightest future stars,” GOO’s General Manager, Sally Williams, says. “Opry NextStage will shine the spotlight on four talented artists at the beginning of their careers who we think will be connecting with audiences for years to come.”
Townes is a Canadian-born songwriter with an incredible voice. She’ll perform at the Opry on Dec. 7. Marie will follow on Dec. 8, she’s the youngest female artist to sign to a major country label in 45 years. Green will take the stage on Dec. 11 and he’s a talented artist who’s already built quite a fanbase. Last, but not least, is Denning on Dec. 15. Denning has already seen his debut climb to the Top 40 on country radio.
