OK Go turned Brooklyn Bowl Nashville into a full-color burst of nostalgia and creativity, opening the night with “This Too Shall Pass,” complete with a surprise blast of confetti that instantly set the tone. Before the song even landed, Damian Kulash leaned into the mic with a cheerful, “How ya doing, Nashville?” — and the crowd matched his energy immediately.
The band wasted no time diving into early favorites like “Get Over It,” reminding everyone just how tight and theatrical their live shows truly are. Between songs, they kept the room engaged with a playful Q&A segment — equal parts quirky, chaotic, and perfectly on-brand for OK Go. Fans asked everything from if they could shoot the band’s next music video to an MTV music question, and the band rolled with it most charmingly.
“Shooting the Moon” brought a softer, dreamier moment (complete with handbells) before the band launched into “Obsession,” turning the venue into a swirl of color and movement. The energy never dipped, even during the more experimental moments, and the lights throughout the night elevated the performance beyond a standard rock show.
They closed their main set with “Good Idea at the Time” before a two-song encore, which felt appropriately tongue-in-cheek for a band that’s built a career on taking creative risks — and making them pay off.
