Between movie theaters, VOD, Redbox, Netflix and the rest of the streaming platforms, a lot of content has dropped this week. I went through and found some of the best options you can watch this weekend.

Possessor (Oct. 2 will be playing in select theaters and available on VOD)
Sci-fi and horror fans will want to check out Possessor this October. In the film, skilled assassins use “brain-implant technology” to occupy other people’s bodies. Check out my full review here.

This is the perfect weekend watch for any music lovers! The documentary series features Alicia Keys, Lin-Manuel Miranda, R.E.M. and Ty Dolla $ign.
Dick Johnson is Dead (Oct. 2)
“As her father nears the end of his life, filmmaker Kirsten Johnson stages his death in inventive and comical ways to help them both face the inevitable,” Netflix says of this 2020 biographical documentary.

American Pie Presents: Girls Rule (Oct. 2nd)
The ninth installment of American Pie is here and, in this one, the girls rule all. A group of four girls decide to make all the rules and get exactly what they want during their senior year of high school. Check out my review here.
A Call to Spy (Oct. 2)
This historical drama runs just over two-hours long and tells the stories of three World War II women.
12 Hour Shift (Oct. 2)
According to Magnolia Pictures & Magnate Releasing, “Nurse Mandy (Angela Bettis) is desperate to make it through her double shift without incident. This is particularly hard to do when you’re an addict and are also involved in a black market organ-trading scheme. When her hapless but dangerous cousin Regina (Chloe Farnworth) messes up a kidney delivery, chaos descends on the Arkansas hospital as Mandy and Regina frantically try to secure a replacement organ through any means necessary.
