Neil Young and Crazy Horse Announce First Album Since 2012

Neil Young and Crazy Horse just announced their first album in seven years. Colorado drops Oct. 25 on Reprise Records but you can hear the first track, “Milky Way,” now. This song is the first recording Young and Crazy Horse have had since 2012’s Psychedelic Pill.

This new record was recorded live in a studio in the Rocky Mountains. It was produced by Young and John Hanlon with additional mixing at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu. According to a release, the audio sounds as if “one is present on the studio floor with the band during the recording.”

Colorado will be available on high-resolution digital audio through NYA as well as on a three-sided, double vinyl album with a bonus 7″ vinyl single and CD. It will also be available for streaming on digital outlets. The bonus single has two tracks not on the album, “Rainbow of Colors (Live)” and “Truth Kills.”
