It’s almost time for the 2019 Sunset Safari at the Nashville Zoo. This year, they’ll have over 50 of Nashville’s top restaurants, animal encounters and live music.
The Sunset Safari is set for Sept. 19 from 6:30 PM to 10 PM, which means the zoo will be closing at 2 PM that day to prepare. Stroll through the zoo while enjoying appetizers, entrees, sweets and drinks from a plethora of Nashville eateries. This year, Amerigo Italian Restaurant, Barcelona Wine Bar, Chauhan Ale & Masala House, Donut Distillery, Kayne Prime, The Melting Pot, Pork Belly Farmhouse and Virago will participate. See a full list of vendors here.
They’ll also have a Best Dish Competition, which is new this year, with Andrew Little (Executive Chef at Josephine), Brad Schmitt and Abby Demmer as judges. They’ll award Best Savory Dish and Best Sweet Dish for their favorites. Guests also get to vote for the People’s Choice Award, so be sure to taste them all!
If the food wasn’t enough, there will be a live auction with exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences, animal encounters and live music during the Sunset Safari.
Tickets are $150 for the main event, $250 at the patron level and $1,000 at the benefactor level, which includes tickets for two. Tickets are available here.
