Nashville Zoo‘s Heritage Music Festival is coming back for the second year. The festival will be a full day of fun on Sept. 23.
On Sept. 23, the Nashville Zoo will incorporate live music and history into their day. The fun lasts from 10AM to 5PM and is meant to honor the zoo’s history. The historic home’s front lawn will be the venue for Americana music and the back of the property will be the home of history lessons.
There will be live music from Farmer Jason, Clelia & Eric, Farmer & Adele and Music City Doughboys. There’s also a kid’s stage that will include performances by Party Belles, Songs For Kids By Jake and Mr. Steve Music.
Blacksmiths, spinners, woodcarvers, grist millers and other artisans will demonstrate 19th-century trades on the back lawn. Guests can then try their hand at old-time activities like cider making and butter churning. Tours of the historic home will be available, as well as garden tours and demonstrations led by the Davidson County Master Gardeners.
