Sofar Sounds Brings Undisclosed Musicians to Nashville Show

Music fans, mark your calendars for June 10! Sofar Sounds are bringing three surprise local and international musicians to Nashville for a top-secret show!

On Saturday during CMA Fest, Sofar Sounds will be surprising everyone with a show at an undisclosed location. The doors open at 12:30PM and the show starts at 1 and you’ll definitely want to be there. We can’t give you any hints about the secret performers but we will tell you that Anderson East, Future Thieves and Judah and the Lion have all played for Sofar Nashville in the past.

Not familiar with Sofar (Songs From a Room) Sounds? It’s a really cool movement that was started by two music fans in London who was tired of seeing shows at venues with rude patrons. You know the ones — they talk the duration of the show or won’t stop texting while the musician is playing. Sofar was his creation to give both artists and listeners an intimate show. The music is the focal point.

Think of it this way: it’s like an open mic night but you’re just not sure where you’re going. Fans can reserve tickets with a “pay what you want” model or apply for free (yes, free).  Shows are limited capacity and the audience is randomly selected. If you’re lucky enough to get a spot, the location will be emailed to you 24 hours in advance.

Since the Sofar movement started back in 2009, it’s spread worldwide and it’s a very unique musical experience. This one definitely gets our Nashville Noise stamp of approval.

If you’re interested in attending the Nashville Sofar show, purchase or apply for a ticket here. You’ll find out the location of the show on June 9. Hey, who doesn’t love a good mystery?
