Nashville + Austin Team Up for Pride in Local Music Live Stream

The Nashville and Austin LGBT Chambers of Commerce are joining forces for a night of (virtual) music. Pride in Local Music is a one-night-only livestream for Pride Month and it happens on June 26 starting at 6 PM CST. The evening will raise funds for LGBTQ+ artists in both cities.

“Parades and festivals might have been canceled but you can’t cancel the spirit of Pride that the LGBTQ+ community shares every June,” Joe Wooley, CEO of the Nashville LGBT Chamber of Commerce, says. “With fewer performing opportunities, we wanted to find a way to support the LGBTQ+ artists who are the cultural heartbeat of each of our cities.”

The funds will be raised through the Music Health Alliance in Nashville and the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians in Austin.

Tune in for the one-night-only event on June 26 on the Pride in Local Music official website. It will also be broadcast on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. See more information on the graphic below.
