Nashville non-profit group Volunteer Equine Advocates are hosting their inaugural golf scramble this August.
The all-volunteer organization’s golf tournament happens on Aug. 19 at the Long Hollow Golf Course and they’re looking for golfers. They’re looking for teams of four to compete for cash prizes. The first place team wins $300, second place wins $160 and third place takes home $100. Even if your team doesn’t win, you could still be a winner. They’re giving out sponsor gifts for closest to the pin and longest drive.
And what’s a golf tournament without a putting contest? There are prizes for putters, too! The cost is only $5 to putt and the winner gets a Yeti cooler!
The golf scramble is more than just fun, it’s for a great cause. The Volunteer Equine Advocates are putting on the event and they are “dedicated to saving Tennessee’s vulnerable equines from a life of abuse, neglect and even death.” In short, they do incredible work to save neglected horses.
The scramble starts on Aug. 19 with registration at 8AM and the shotgun start at 9AM. It’s $75 per person to play in the tournament or $300 per four-person team and they’re providing lunch from Whitt’s BBQ. The tournament happens at Long Hollow Golf Course (1080 Long Hollow Pike Gallatin, TN).
