Music City Food + Wine 2018 Announces Cooking Demos, DJ Set + More

Music City Food + Wine have even more announcements for the 2018 festival. They’ve revealed the Friday DJ set, cooking demos and more.

This year’s festival happens Sept. 14 through Sept. 16 and the announcements are getting us even more excited. This year, DJ Zane Lowe will be on hand, they’ll have a ton of cooking demos and 80 artisans will pour drinks and serve bites in the Grand Taste. There will also be interactive culinary, beverage and lifestyle experiences Around the Park.

On Friday night, DJ Zane Lowe will provide the ambiance. Lowe is a tastemaker, influencer and the Creative Director and Host of Apple Music’s Beats 1. He’ll take over the turntables after Friday Night Throwdown with beats from 8:30 PM to 10 PM at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.

On Saturday, chefs will lead interactive and information cooking demos. Jonathan Waxman, Ruth Reichl, Aaron Sanchez, Carla Hall and Andrew Zimmern will all lead demos that will stay with festivalgoers long after this year’s festival ends.

This year’s Grand Taste includes a prime spot for attendees to sip, savor, mix and mingle through wine, spirits, lifestyle and culinary exhibitions. They’ll showcase over 70 beverage, food and lifestyle artisans from Nashville and beyond. It opens Friday night from 6 PM to 10 and on Saturday from 11 AM to 4 PM. Bongo Java, OAK Steakhouse, Red Eye Whiskey, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Cakebread Cellars, Duckhorn Vineyards, Oak Farm Vineyards, Blackberry Farm Brewery and more will participate in the Grand Taste.

On Friday and Saturday night, the park will really come to life with culinary, beverage and lifestyle experiences Around the Park. Toyota is sponsoring the culinary exploration. Get travel ready with a personalized luggage tag, create a custom cutting board, sample refreshing aguas frescas and take home the perfect carry-on tote bag. When you’re done, commemorate the occasion with a photo!
