Between movie theaters, VOD, Redbox, Netflix and the rest of the streaming platforms, a lot of content dropped this week. I went through and found some of the best options you can watch this weekend.
Belcourt
The Truffle Hunters
Sony Pictures: “In the secret forests of Northwest Italy, a dwindling group of joyful old men and their faithful dogs hunt for the world’s most expensive ingredient: the white Alba truffle. This real-life fairy tale celebrates human passion in a community struggling to protect its fragile land and a way of life forgotten in time.”
Riders of Justice
Mads Mikkelson stars as Markus, a man seeking revenge for a train accident that hurt his teenage daughter. The action-packed movie is reminiscent of Liam Neeson’s Taken and it’s a blast.
Franklin Theatre
Days of Thunder
The Franklin Theatre is open! On Monday, they’re kicking it off with Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder. For more information about the showing click here.
In Theaters
A Quiet Place Part II
The highly-anticipated sequel is finally coming to theaters and it deserves to be seen on the biggest screen possible. John Krasinski is a standout in this, leaving us on the edge of our seats from start to finish.
Cruella
The latest live-action remake from Disney is filled with a fantastic soundtrack, great makeup/costumes and a fantastic performance from Emma Stone, who stars as Cruella. The movie is playing in theaters but also available on Disney+ Premier Access for $30.
Redbox
Raya and the Last Dragon
IMDB: “In a realm known as Kumandra, a re-imagined Earth inhabited by an ancient civilization, a warrior named Raya is determined to find the last dragon.”
