Maren Morris Releases Powerful Anthem, ‘Girl’

Maren Morris just dropped her powerful new song, “Girl.”

The Grammy Award-winner released the song on Thursday. It world premiered on country radio starting at 4 PM and, immediately following, it became available to download and stream. The song was a highly-anticipated release from Morris and it didn’t disappoint.

Morris wrote the exciting new track alongside Sarah Aarons (“The Middle”) and songwriter-producer Greg Kurstin. Kurstin also produced it.

It’s been three years since Morris dropped her debut single, “My Church.” Since then, she’s had platinum singles, a No. 1 single at country radio and a huge hit in the pop song, “The Middle.” This is Morris’ fifth single and the first taste of her forthcoming 2019 album.

Those experiences and her musical journey make this new single even more relevant. When she belts out, “Girl, don’t hang your head low. Don’t lose your halo. Everyone’s gonna be okay, baby, girl,” we know it’s from a place of experience.
