It’s another New Music Friday but this week is a little different. We’re all stuck inside on quarantine and music is what’s keeping Nashville Noise going through this difficult time. Here are some great new songs to check out today. We hope they’re a light for you in an otherwise dark time.
First up, we can’t stop listening to the new song from Emily Ann Roberts. She’s a country traditionalist and you’ll hear that in her song, “How the Car’s Running.” She says the song is very special to her “because it’s full of all the things I hear on the phone with my dad… Being on the road all the time and away from my family has shown me how precious a simple phone call can be.”
Country pop/rock singer-songwriter, Parker McKay, also has a new song out today. “Pity Party” is the one we’re listening to on repeat. Alana Springsteen also dropped a new track with Filmore! “If you had told me a year ago I was gonna be releasing a song with Filmore this month, I probably wouldn’t have believed it,” Springsteen says. “The second I heard his voice on this song I fell in love with it even more! Such a dream collaboration for me and I can’t wait for the world to hear it.” You can get a copy of that song here.
Kelsea Ballerini did more than just release a song today. She released an entire album appropriately titled, kelsea. Although we couldn’t add the entire record to our NMF playlist, we did add her collaboration with Halsey, “the other girl.” Grab Ballerini’s album here or by clicking on the artwork below.
Other memorable releases today include new songs from John Legend, The Weeknd, Conan Gray and more. Be sure to follow us on Spotify for more new music this month and all year long.
