Maggie Rose’s five-song EP, Dreams > Dollars, is out now! The project was inspired by her own loves and losses.
Rose’s EP dropped today and it’s a personal one for the singer. She wrote and co-produced all of the tracks, including the first single, “Body on Fire.” Rose recently dropped that sexy single on Spotify. In it she sings, “You don’t even need to try, you just set my body on fire!“
Dreams > Dollars starts with “Too Many Love Songs,” a song for the brokenhearted with references to Bob Dylan and Patsy Cline. “I Won’t” details the issues that can undoubtedly arise from love. The EP ends with “We’ll Grow Out of It,” a song that is very relatable. It’s a story about chasing your dreams and the life you want, even when it doesn’t seem to be going to your way.
Rose previews the bubbly title track in a video teaser for the EP. It’s infectious from start to finish and the perfect preview for fans. The five songs on this EP prove that the Maryland native is in a good place with her music and she says it’s because of how she feels about herself.
“This project was simply the most natural, relevant next step for me. I’m so inspired by what I am most passionate about: the music I made and the people I love,” she said. “I’ve never been more comfortable in my own skin than I am now, and I think this EP showcases that.”
Nashville fans can get a live taste of Rose’s EP when she plays Piranha’s Bar and Grill on June 8 for CMA Fest with J.T. Hodges. Preview Dreams > Dollars in the short teaser below.
