It was just last year when Lynyrd Skynyrd announced their Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour. The show hit 50 stops by the end of 2018 but they’re not done yet. They just announced more tour dates for 2019 and some are in driving distance from Nashville.
“It takes a long time to finish a farewell tour when you’re like us, ‘cause we’ve played everywhere,” Gary Rossington told Dan Rather during The Big Interview. “I keep jokin’ it’d take 10 years to do the farewell tour.”
Their spring tour dates kick off at Stagecoach on April 27. On May 10, Lynyrd Skynyrd head to Tuscaloosa before stopping in nearby places like Alpharetta and Jackson. They will be joined by special guests including Hank Williams Jr., Bad Company and Cody Jinks.
“We’ve said we want to play every venue and market we’ve visited one last time, so we get to see all of Skynyrd Nation so that’s the plan,” Johnny Van Zant said.
