Now that the 2025 MTV VMAs are getting closer, new details are rolling in! LL COOL J will serve as this year’s host for the Sept. 7 show. This is his first time solo-hosting the award show after previously hosting with Nicki Minaj and Jack Harlow in 2022.
LL COOL J has a long history with the VMAs. He won his first Moon Person back in 1991 for “Best Rap” and he was the first Video Vanguard Award recipient in 1997. This year, LL COOL J is nominated for “Best Hip-Hop” for his single, “Murdergram Deaux” (ft. Eminem).
