Lip Lab is now open in Nashville’s Fifth + Broadway and it’s unlike any other place we have in Nashville. It’s a beautiful space where you create custom lipstick – and I checked it out to bring you all the details (you’re welcome).
Lip Lab is located on the ground floor of Fifth + Broadway (next to Shake Shack), with easy access to the parking garage. It’s a beautiful space with pink walls, flowers, and great selfie spots! When it’s time for your appointment, you’ll sit down with your color expert and get to work.
The first step on your lipstick journey is to go through color options, targeting things you like to mix up your perfect color. You’ll test them along the way. It was love at first sight with my first lipstick test but I tried more, just to be sure. After you find your perfect shade, you decide between a matte, satin, or sheer finish. I went with a taupe-pink shade in satin. Once I felt the texture of the satin, I was sold!
There are two more steps before you’re ready to leave with your perfect shade. If you want a scent, you’ll add that after the color is mixed (I went with vanilla). Next, you pick a name for your shade and your color expert will engrave the lipstick cap. That’s it. You’re done!
This experience was honestly so much fun and unlike anything I’ve done before. I highly recommend this as a gift for your girlfriend, best friends, or even your mom! It’s also a great social experience so bring your besties for your birthday or a girls’ night. It’s $60 for one custom lipstick and $40 if you want to get another of the same shade.
