Lindsay Ell Says ‘The Project’ is the ‘Best I’ve Ever Done’

Lindsay Ell is gearing up to release her debut album, The Project. She’s ready for the release and says the new music is “the best I’ve ever done.”

The Project is set for release on Aug. 11 via Stoney Creek Records and the album was produced by a familiar name. Kristian Bush produced the 12-track record. It comes after their collaboration on her EP, Worth the Wait. He also co-wrote the album track “Wildfire” along with Ell.

Ell’s current single, “Waiting On You,” is her current single and it’s already receiving critical acclaim. The album is more than just that track though, and she thinks it’s her best so far.

“This new music is the best I’ve ever done,” she explains. “I called the album The Project because that’s exactly what this whole process was. I’ve discovered who I am, what I want to say and how I want to say it. I’m so excited to finally have an album that is me, and I can’t wait for fans to hear it.”

Although Ell had a hand in writing a lot of the tracks on her debut, you’ll see many familiar names have songwriting credit. Kelsea Ballerini is also listed as a songwriter on the album along with Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne and Carly Pearce.

The Project is now available for pre-order on iTunes and it will automatically download on Aug. 11. Her current single and “Champagne” are the album’s two instant gratification tracks.

Just days before the release, Ell will make her morning TV debut on The Today Show. She’ll perform “Waiting On You,” on Aug. 8 at 10AM.
