Lil Nas X ‘Had Plans’ to Collab with Miley Cyrus Before the Pandemic

Lil Nas X called in to SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live to promote his new children’s book, C Is for Country, on Wednesday (Jan. 6). While he was chatting with the radio host, the Georgia native revealed that he was supposed to collaborate with Miley Cyrus. Until the pandemic hit.

The conversation started when Cohen asked Lil Nas X about his last text exchange with Billy Ray Cyrus. Apparently the two chatted about a month ago. That’s when SiriusXM host said, “I would like to see you and Miley do something. I remember I saw you guys at the Gucci, at the Tom Ford fashion show early this year. And I was like, ‘God, I would like to see the two of them do something together.’ Have you thought about that?”

“Yeah, 100. I had plans to work on this one song with Miley earlier last year, and then the pandemic happened,” Lil Nas X said. “So we didn’t get to like meet up or anything, but, you know, maybe it’ll happen now.”

We can only hope. Check out the excerpt from SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live in the video above and see what else Lil Nas X had to say below. Andy Cohen hosts SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live Mondays and Wednesdays at 9 AM CST on his exclusive SiriusXM channel Radio Andy.
