Laine Hardy Announces American Red Cross Fundraiser Livestream

American Idol winner Laine Hardy is livestreaming a concert on Sept. 28. He hopes that the show will persuade people to donate to a cause near and dear to his heart.

The Louisiana native has witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of hurricane season. Because of that, he felt a strong calling to give back. Although the show is free and open to the public, he will encourage fans to help people affected by hurricanes and other diasters.

“Hurricane Laura hit west of my hometown and me and my family stayed safe and did not have any damage. So many others here in Louisiana cannot say the same,” Hardy says. “And last week the Gulf Coast was hit by Hurricane Sally, these are really tough times for so many and I’m honored to work with American Red Cross to help out any way I can.”

The rising country star will encourage viewers to make a donation to the Red Cross during his show. Donations can be made here. Things are already off to a good start — one donor has offered a 1:1 matching gift up to $10,000 in support of disaster relief work across the country.

Tune in to the livestream concert for a cause on Sept. 28. It starts at 6:30 PM CST with music starting at 7:30 PM CST. Tune in here.
