Lady Gaga is closing out the year by giving fans something truly special.
On Dec. 24, Gaga will premiere LADY GAGA IN HARLEQUIN LIVE – ONE NIGHT ONLY on YouTube at 6 PM CT, making a once-private performance available to fans worldwide for the first time. The cinematic concert film was recorded on Sept. 30, 2024, at The Belasco in downtown Los Angeles, capturing Gaga performing Harlequin in full during an intimate, one-night-only show for a small group of fans.
The film arrives as Harlequin continues to gain critical recognition, including a GRAMMY nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. The project serves as a love letter to classic American jazz, blending standards with vintage and modern pop sensibilities through refreshed arrangements of “Oh, When The Saints,” “World On A String,” and “That’s Entertainment,” alongside original tracks “Happy Mistake” and “Folie à Deux.”
Upon release, Harlequin debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Jazz Albums chart, marking Gaga’s third consecutive jazz album to top the chart, following Cheek to Cheek (2014) and Love For Sale (2021). It’s another reminder that Gaga’s jazz era isn’t a side project—it’s a fully realized chapter of her career.
The performance film premiered on Dec. 18 at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles, following an intimate conversation celebrating the album and its creative process. LADY GAGA IN HARLEQUIN LIVE – ONE NIGHT ONLY is a Morningview Production, executive produced by Gaga and Michael Polansky, with creative direction by Gaga and Polansky alongside Todd Tourso and Mel Roy of mtla.studio. The film was shot by director of photography Marcell Rév, with musical direction by Gaga, Brian Newman, Tim Stewart, and Alex Smith.
