Kiefer Sutherland’s music career is just getting started. The talented actor and singer just revealed the details for his sophomore album, Reckless & Me.
The 10-track album drops April 26 via BMG. The album showcases Sutherland’s Americana and country rock storytelling style and includes both beautiful ballads and country rock tracks. The album’s lead single, “Open Road,” is out now and he just released another song from the album titled, “This is How it’s Done.”
Sutherland is an award-winning actor with a career that’s spanned three decades but now he’s chasing his other dream, music.
“I asked myself, ‘What is the thing that I love about acting and music? What is the common denominator?’,” he said. “For it’s storytelling and music is a very different way of doing it.”
Reckless & Me was produced by Jude Cole and follows his debut album, Down in a Hole. With this new record, Sutherland wants to continue to tour and share these songs and stories with his fans. While he loves both writing and recording, taking the stage is even more special to him.
“I couldn’t have imagined the depth with which I have fallen in love with touring,” Sutherland explains. “To have the opportunity to convey intimate, personal stories to an audience has proven to be priceless.”
